The Enchanting World of Bali Honeymoon Villas

Being an island covering a landmass of 5632 square kilometers, the well-known tourist attraction of Bali has beaches in abundance. And the water surrounding the island is full of beautiful coral reefs. Beaches in some parts have got black sand, while other parts have got white sand, while yet other places have both. It is indeed an alluring picture. To take in all these things, tourists need to live in idyllic settings that balance this beauty and Bali luxury villas are the answer for this.

And among these Bali luxury villas are the special category of Bali honeymoon villas, which simply opens up a dream world for honeymooners. These are typically one-bedroom villas with a private pool and provisions for a candle light dinner and a mini bar with beers and soft drinks. And the honeymooners get lunch and dinner and breakfast at their private villa. And the breakfast offered at most of the Bali honeymoon villas are a la carte.

And the best parts of Bali villas are the flower offerings they make to the honeymooners. The Balinese are traditionally fond of flowers and flower garlands and these are put into best use in all Bali luxury villas but especially so at Bali honeymoon villas.

The bride and groom are welcomed with flower garlands on arrival and then special flower decorations are made for them. Besides land flowers, Bali is also full of water flowers like lotus and water lilies and local people have expertise in making elaborate flower decorations with it. Even the special spa treatment offered to newlyweds in the Bali honeymoon villas start with a special feet washing by flower petals.

The spa treatment is itself a rich Balinese fare which includes aromatherapy and deep tissue massage. The lulur therapy, which is a part of the massage given to the couple at Bali honeymoon villas, is an extremely purificatory body massage. It consists of rubbing a smooth paste of turmeric, sandalwood, rice, and aromatic plants on the body. The cream is then left on the body to dry so that the skin absorbs the essence of all the herbs. Later it is wiped off the skin in smooth strokes. The very scent of the cream is so satisfying, not to speak of its other benefits!

While most of the Bali luxury villas give their guests complimentary things, Bali honeymoon villas offer the newlyweds an impressive array of things on the house. They get complimentary souvenirs, mineral water, newspapers, and get their laundry done free. They are dropped off on request at nearby areas for shopping or sightseeing and they are allowed complimentary use of the Internet as well.

The Bali honeymoon villas really put the newlyweds in a fairyland away from the realities of time and place. Once they are out of the dreamland, it will take time for them to get adjusted to ground realities. Those who are not honeymooners are surely deprived of some of these facilities but even ordinary Bali luxury villas are good enough to create an enchanted world for pre-marriage youngsters or for the post-marriage group for whom first nuptials have become a fading memory.

Bahamas Honeymoon - Tips to Save You Money

Ah, the honeymoon! Now we're talking. So many couples have told us that thoughts of the honeymoon is the only thing that kept them going through the stresses of the wedding preparations. Imagine leaving your city on a flight to Florida and then on to the island of your choice.

Many have chosen the Bahamas for their honeymoon destination. And for good reason. They are beautiful and not too far away, helping to keep the expense reasonable.

The Bahamas, twenty nine islands in all, are a country of English speaking people who know how to make tourists happy. It is one of their main means of commerce.

Bimini is the island closest to Florida. This island is called the gateway to the Bahamas. Grand Bahama you likely have heard is also called the Big Island. Other islands include Great Inagua, Andros Island, Cat Island, Long Island, and New Providence (where is located the capital city of Nassau).

The climate is subtropical or tropical and there has never been a report of freezing temperatures on the islands.

But now back to planning your Bahamas honeymoon. Should you decide to make a go of it here are some suggestions we've gathered from different sources.

One, you probably already know is a money saver for whenever you travel, is to go off-season if you can. That really depends on where you are going and what date your wedding is planned for. We have known some couples who have had their wedding and postponed their honeymoon for a later date. You may not want to do that but it is an idea. If you could fifty per cent you might talk yourself into it. You can also look at flying on the off days.

Second, look for the Bahama shoulder seasons for significant discounts. If you can honeymoon after Easter but before the summer gets geared up or between Thanksgiving and Christmas you can usually score some deals.

Third, fly Southwest Airlines to Florida if you can. Having worked the Southwest Airlines reservation center, we know that Southwest has great fares regularly. And we know that Southwest has flights to several cities in Florida.

Fourth, if you want to risk it, you can delay finalizing your plans until a great deal comes along. Look around for websites that offer last minutes deals. Could add a little excitement to your planning! But we would not think it would work well during the peak seasons.

Fifth, if you are having a Bahamas destination wedding, you can check to see if the airline you are using will give a discount for the number of seats you are booking.

Sixth, has there been a hurricane to hit the Bahamas in the recent past. Their misfortune could be your fortune. As they are rebuilding their business may be a good time to get a honeymoon bargain.

Seventh, you could try one of those bidding websites. We never have and feel uncomfortable not knowing what we are going to get, especially when traveling out of the country. But you may have good experiences with these sites and can give it a shot.

Eighth, you can find online a number of tour companies with various Bahamas honeymoon packages. These are always changing and we can only suggest that you look around to see what is offered and then be sure to check the fine print and any information about the quality of the company you are dealing with.

Now for the exciting part...actually planning your trip. And after it is all over, you can return home to begin your adventure as husband and wife.

Choosing a Destination Wedding - What to Look For

Destination weddings have a romantic, magical allure that the entire wedding party is sure to enjoy. After all, what could be more romantic and fun than a destination wedding right next to a pink sandy beach? The party begins just seconds after the wedding.

There is something bewitching about getting married away from your home town. But before you start to research weekend wedding locations for a destination wedding or commit to a deposit, it's a good idea to weigh all of the factors.

Travel agents tell us that destination weddings have grown in popularity at an amazing rate. The majority of weekend Weddings are fairly small with a couple of people invited up to twenty. Larger destination weddings are currently on the rise due to families and friends traveling together.

Hawaii remains the number one spot, with Jamaica, Las Vegas, Mexico, Disneyworld and the Bahamas also being favorites. Resort Weddings at these locations usually proves to be cost effective.
Most brides are known to think that you spend all that money and planning for one day with a traditional wedding and it's over so fast you don't get to talk to everyone.

A destination wedding is an opportunity for friends and family to spend quality time with each other. As soon as the guests arrive, a cocktail party is a good way for everyone to get to know each other before the wedding takes place.

Prices for destination weddings can vary greatly, from free to thousands of dollars. But most are in the $500 to $3,000 range.

There are a few things to remember when planning.

For instance, "different countries have different regulations for getting married. In Mexico, for example, you have to be in the country for four days before you can get married. And have a backup plan in case it rains. Most hotels will move you into a meeting room or ballroom in case of bad weather.

Have a Hurricane free Destination Wedding

The majority of weddings and honeymoons take place during the summer months. The temptation to head to the Caribbean for a destination wedding is always high. Unfortunately, June through November is also the peak season for hurricanes.

So what precautions can you take to ensure you can have a hurricane free wedding? There are always your basic Caribbean ABC's which are Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao of the Dutch Antilles. These three islands are generally not considered to be located in the high risk hurricane zone. And here is an additional hot tip: There are great deals to be found during the summer months (low season).

You can find a week in Aruba from August 1 through October 30 for around $650 at some of the better hotels. This cost is per person and often includes air travel from some of the larger cities as an added perk.
Curacao offers European style architecture, beautiful beaches, good art and great food with packages for about the same price.

Also reasonably priced during the low season months, Bonaire offers an abundance of activities for all of the wedding destination guests such as a vibrant night life, world class restaurants and scuba diving. Biking and car rentals are available for spending time in the tranquil natural preservations areas for which Bonaire is known for.

The Island of Magrarita which is located off the coast of Venezuela is also extremely low hurricane risk for those seeking a great spot.

Airlines May Help With Destination Weddings

Check with different airlines to see if they are currently offering discounts for destination weddings. If you are taking 10 or more relatives and friends on a destination wedding trip, ask for a discount. 10 or more seems to be the magic number for getting 10% to 50% off on airline tickets for wedding parties. Many airlines offer special extras for the bride and groom such as upgrade coupons, discounts for car rentals, and free movies. Of course the complimentary glass of champagne is usually included if you tell the flight attendant you are off to a destination wedding

Spring Honeymoon Ideas

Planning a spring wedding? Then it is also time to make your honeymoon arrangements. Take a look at these great ideas for spring honeymoons.

Outdoor enthusiasts have lots of fun options for springtime adventures. One of the best is to take a trip out West for spring skiing. On many of the big mountains in Colorado, Utah, and British Columbia, there is plenty of good skiing left well into April. It can be a lot of fun too, as you will have lots of snow combined with sunny days and pleasant temperatures. Not only that, but lift tickets can be less expensive in the spring than in the peak winter season.

To promote the spring skiing season, many of the large resorts have festivals and special events in March and April. There are concerts, parades, and even Easter egg hunts! Combine that with the fantastic shopping and restaurants at some of the more posh ski destinations like Aspen, and you will have a honeymoon that offers endless fun things to do. Dining at ski resorts is not limited to burgers grabbed in the ski lodge, either. Plan on some romantic dinners in cozy little bistros. Dress up a cashmere sweater with a couple of Swarovski crystal bracelets for the perfect ski resort chic dinner outfit. (If you wore Swarovski crystal bracelets for your wedding, it will be especially fun to wear them again on your honeymoon.)

For those who are tired of chilly early spring weather, think about a honeymoon to a warm weather destination. By late spring, south Florida and some of the closer Caribbean islands will be reaching very comfortable temperatures. If you want to be assured of perfect beach weather, plan on heading further south to a spot like Aruba, which has highs well into the mid-80s by March. Just try to avoid scheduling any trips to popular destinations that will be overrun with college students on spring break!

The dessert Southwest is also very beautiful in the spring. Well past the monsoon season, but before the oppressive summer heat sets in, Arizona and New Mexico are extremely pleasant. Chill out by the pool at a fabulous resort, or visit the artists' galleries in Taos, Santa Fe, or Albuquerque. Maybe you can even pick up a unique piece of pottery or a painting to display in your new home. That would make a wonderful honeymoon souvenir.

Culture lovers may wish to consider a spring honeymoon in Europe. You are not guaranteed fantastic weather, but as long as you avoid Easter week, you should be assured of much smaller crowds than in the summer months. If you want to get close enough to the Mona Lisa to see the brushstokes or spend a few minutes admiring the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome without being jostled by a swarm of tourists, going in the spring is your best bet. And who cares if the weather is not perfect when you can spend your evenings enjoying romantic dinners in some of the best restaurants in Europe? Bon Voyage!
